Become a volunteer at the Community Centre

Elton Community Centre is a registered charity (number 520048). Its Governing document requires it to provide and maintain a community Centre for the use of the inhabitants or the parish of Elton without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for meetings, lectures and classes and for other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

Elton Community Centre aim is to:

• To put itself back at the heart of the village, offering services and support to all residents of the community of Elton and operate for their benefit.
• To ensure it is a self-sufficient in funding for the running costs and development of the Centre.
• To establish and maintain a positive relationship with other groups, local businesses and industry.

We are always looking for Volunteers with any skills they can help the centre and the community with no matter your back ground.

We have the below roles we are particularly looking for volunteers for:

• Community Café & Food bank Volunteer
• Maintenance Work
• Volunteer administration
• Casual Volunteer
• Building Coordinator
• Activities Volunteer (Children)
• Bar person Volunteer or paid

We are flexible with roles and commitment's but attached are the job descriptions should you wish to read the basis of each position.

To join us,

You can join as just a volunteer or you can also join as a member of our CIO if you wish. You can do just one of these or both, your choice. Being a member of the CIO means you can vote at AGMs on the trustees who manage the center. You can join as a member of the CIO at any point (but there is cut off date to vote at a AGM due to the need to issue postal vote arrangements if needed etc).
