It has always been important that a community centre should have a sense of community and family, showing off its residents, and here at Elton Community Centre that is what we believe we have.
The Centre has been a registered charity since 1972 and, more recently, changed from a ECC (pre-2021) to CIO (post-2021). We are run by local residents with our aim to create a centre which enhances the quality of life for local people within the village by providing educational, arts and leisure opportunities no matter the background, race, gender or sexuality.
We want the Community Centre to be the heart of the Elton Community, so everyone is welcome, which is why we aim to provide a warm safe place, like the cafe, where you can get a wonderful selection of good quality cooked food and homemade cakes and where anyone can come along and have someone who will always be happy to have a chat and a brew with you.
We are always in need of help from volunteers so if you are interested and wish to find more information on becoming a volunteer, please see the Volunteers & Positions drop down box on the Community Centre page.
