There are many people due to the Covid 19 in a situation they have not been before. Citizens advise are here to help and skilled at giving advise on the best way for you to get help and improve your situation.

Here to help anyone with free independent, confidential advice with any matters including:

  • benefits, including first time claiming.
  • Work including redundancy and employment advise.
  • Debt and Money
  • Consumer
  • Family
  • Housing
  • Law and Courts
  • Immigration
  • Health
  • Pension advise

Their town centre offices are soon closing in favour of community based advisors that will help minimise travel for those that most need the help.

All Citizens advise advisers are trained volunteers helping on behalf of a independent organisation here to help anyone no matter back ground and no means testing is done and all information free.

For those not feeling comfortable or having access to the above communication methods, the community café has a free phone line and use of a private room to speak to the citizens advise or access to there information. The centre is open for CAB and food bank access 10am until 1pm on Monday, Wednesdays and Friday closed all other details, please contact a volunteer for any urgent cases outside these times. All requests will be dealt with confidentially and discreetly.

Also if you need support in the mean time the Community Pantry can help with food, please ask a volunteer or email admin@eltoncommunitycentre.co.uk or ring, text or whattsapp the duty food bank volunteer on 07871 614665 and we will do our best to help and be confidential and discreet.

Age UK -
new Digital Loan Library to combat loneliness

Age UK has
received funding to purchase some ipads which can be loaned out to elderly
residents in the Cheshire West area. When a client is loaned an ipad they are
also allocated an IT volunteer who will support them with an hour's session per
week. Due to lockdown restrictions this is done by telephone and video call
rather than a face to face visit.
